Essentials and New Releases That Need to Be Added to Your Collection

The Criterion Collection is running its bi-annual 50% Off DVD, Blu-rays, and 4K UHD at Barnes & Noble (Movies can be purchased online or in person). The sale runs from June 27th - July 27th and will include anticipated July releases like Barry Lyndon 4K, The Big Heat, The Adventures of Antoine Doinel, Carnal Knowledge, You Can Count on Me, and more. If you’ve picked up a few movies, still plan on making a last-minute purchase, or have never bought anything from the Criterion Collection before, I will drop some suggestions below. As always, if you want to purchase something on Blu-ray or 4K UHD, make sure you have the right equipment to play those discs.

If you are interested in some of the movies below and don’t have the means to play physical media anymore, you might want to consider a subscription to the Criterion Channel. I subscribe, and I always find a few movies a month that I’m interested in watching.
