IFF Boston new Summer Repertory Series promises to bring the heat
The new June in-review article will be coming next week, but I wanted to share some information about a new summer program being put on by the fine folks at IFF Boston.
If you are unfamiliar with IFF Boston, it’s a group that’s hosted a Spring festival in Boston for the last twenty-odd years. The fest has traditionally brought some of the buzziest films from Sundance and SXSW up north so that audiences in New England can get a taste of some of the bigger fests and have area premieres for countless independent filmmakers. They expanded a few years back to include a Fall Focus festival bringing some of the gems from Telluride, Toronto, and Venice to New England and now they are offering another program.
Inspired by the “You Must Remember This” podcast, IFF Boston will show movies from the Erotic 80s and 90s. Some of these movies will be shown on 35mm, so check the listings before purchasing if that matters to you. Screenings will be taking place at the Somerville Theatre.
